INVITATION

The first call for proposals of the IST Programme of the European Union's 5th framework programme of research, technological development and demonstration was published on 19 March 1999 in the Official Journal (see http://europa.eu.int/eur-lex/en/oj/1999/c_07619990319en.html). The decisions of the Council of 22 December 1999 (1999/64/EC and 1999/66/Euratom) allow the programme to be opened for certain countries of Central and Eastern European countries, including Hungary. Legal entities from this countries can build project consortia and introduce proposals from the beginning of the 5th framework programme with a minimum of one partner from one Member State of the European Union. (The formal procedures for entry into force of the association of each of the countries can be expected to be finalised by summer 1999. The deadline for the introduction of the proposals is the 16 June 1999.

The event will

In the composition of the sessions 8 blocks of 90 minutes are foreseen the presentations with a target project proposal and co-ordination rule will have priority.

The organisation of the workshop will be based on this web-site. You may find the most actual version of the programme here, no additional correspondence is envisaged unless have any special or personal wishes.

All participants are kindly requested to register themselves. The Registration Form shall be completed and returned not later than 15 April.

The contribution fee - HUF 7.500 (approx. EURO 30) - includes:

Registration and distribution of documents will take place at the Banquet floor in the Hyatt Regency Hotel***** on 23 April from 08.30 to 10.00 and will continue throughout the day.

METHOD OF PAYMENT

The contribution fee shall be paid either by credit card (AmEx, EC/MC, Visa) or in cash (HUF) on the spot.
